About us
A community-led organization built on small beginnings
Mustard Seed Impact International works so that women, youth, immigrants and marginalized communities can heal, learn, earn and lead.
Who we are
People first, programs second
We believe lasting transformation begins with small seeds of opportunity. MUSII creates pathways toward healing, empowerment, education, economic opportunity, leadership and community transformation, working with immigrant and refugee families, women, young people and community members.
Our programs are designed with participants rather than for them. Community members identify priorities; we bring training, mentorship, connections and resources, and then step back as local leadership takes the work forward.
Mission & vision
Why we exist
Mission
To empower women, youth, immigrants and marginalized communities through education, leadership development, economic opportunity and community-based healing, so that every participant can build a dignified and sustainable future.
Official mission wording will be confirmed with the organization's leadership.
Vision
Communities where every person — regardless of origin, gender or circumstance — has the skills, opportunity and voice to lead change where they live.
Official vision wording will be confirmed with the organization's leadership.
Our values
What guides our decisions
Dignity
Every person we work with is an agent of their own change, never a case number or a photograph.
Inclusion
Programs are designed with and for the communities they serve, across culture, language and faith.
Empowerment
We build capacity and open doors rather than creating dependency.
Community leadership
Local leaders set priorities; we accompany, resource and train.
Accountability
We measure what we do, report it plainly and welcome scrutiny.
Sustainability
We invest in skills, relationships and institutions that outlast any single project.
